JAMES Goodman, who felt humiliated and hard done by when he handed in his Trainers’ Licence following an NHA Inquiry last year, says amazing new horizons have opened to him and that he is busier and in fact happier than ever.

We caught Mr Goodman about to board a flight to the Asian Racing Conference in Seoul this morning and he said: “I am on a sponsored trip to make new friends and associates, I have been appointed the South Africa CEO of Equine Hub, a new racing business venture which will act like a stock exchange on the web and is several years coming in development.

“This is a most exciting and innovative venture which will be based in Singapore and bloodstock agent David Raphael, well known in South Africa, is the Australian CEO.”

Goodman will be back in South Africa for his father Allan’s 95th birthday next week. “My dad’s identical twin Derek Goodman died three years ago but he is still going strong,” said Goodman.

His core business is the newly formed Kilimanjaro, a bloodstock consultancy offering his expertise and advice on everything from weanlings to horses in training. “I will be going to the Magic Millions Sale in Australia after the birthday bash,” said Goodman.
