TELLYTRACK’s on-course presenter, Grant Knowles, makes Mr Cobbs his best bet on today’s Kenilworth card.
Candice Bass-Robinson’s runner, presently around 28-10 with GG Gaming, returns to the track in Race 9 over 1200m following an eye-catching fifth to Invidia in the CTS1200 when he moved up to contest a competitive race on Sun Met Day.
Bass-Robinson told Clocking The Gallop that Mr Cobbs was arguably unlucky not to win that day, and although she would have preferred this to be 1000m, she does fancy him to do very well today.
Knowles makes Camini Palmero (Race 3), his value bet. This daughter of Silvano showed promising form before a rest and, well drawn, looks worth a nibble at 8-1 in a Maiden Plate over 1600m.
Knowles suggested P/A for Kenilworth: R216
1,2,7 x 1,4,7 x 1 x 1,2,4,13 x 4,6,8 x 2,4 x 8.
