There was a nasty looking incident during race 3 at Kenilworth today, when Lemon ‘N Lime seemed to become unbalanced and crashed  through the rail midway around the final bend about 700m from home.

Apprentice Liam Tarentaal was dumped, but escaped with only minor injuries, although he was stood down for the rest of the day as a precaution.

Thankfully owner Ken Truter reported that the horse was also in the clear: ‘He seems to have pulled up fine but has been given an anti-inflammatory  just in case.’

Could have been a lot worse.
