SUPERSTAR jockey Frankie Dettori, who will be captaining the team of international jockeys in South Africa in a fortnight, racked up his 12th US Breeders’ Cup winner on Sir Michael Stoute’s Queen’s Trust at Santa Anita Park on Saturday.

Queen’s Trust was victorious for England in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf, a race Frankie had won once before on Ouija Board in 2006.

No Dettori winner would be complete without Frankie’s famous flying dismount, performed again in front of an appreciative Santa Anita crowd.

On Sunday, Frankie hit the City Of Angels, taking in a gym session and comparing abs with some of the body builders at a the contemporary Muscle Beach Venice on Ocean Front Walk in Venice, California.

Frankie’s been in wonderful form this last year, aside from his big-race wins recording his 3000th winner  at Newmarket in August – he’ll be a tough competitor again for S’Manga Khumalo and his South African team in this year’s Air Mauritius International Jockeys’ Challenge that takes place on 18 and 20 November.

  1. Seriously hoping for better rides for overseas riders this year, we want them to come and sit on some good animals not moderates.
