A fine Haley Turner double at the International Jockeys Challenge at Turffontein on Saturday clinched the deal for the International.

The local riders had been 157-143 up going into Race 8, but the final score ended 215-185 to the International team after they filled the first four positions.

Turner won the race on At Hand for St John Gray, as well as the opening leg on Al Borak for the Azzie stable, and took home individual honours with 75 points.

S’Manga Khumalo had notched both  the second and third heats courtesy of  Kirconnel Lass (Steve Moffat) and Sporting Monarch (Brett Warren), and was second with a tally of 68.
