FAIR Eva, who provided her sire Frankel with his first Group winner in the Princess Margaret Stakes (G3) last week, is likely to take all the beating wherever she goes.
The first of Frankel’s offspring to run wearing the Juddmonte silks, Fair Eva is now Timeform rated 113p from 100p and Timeform’s Ben Fearnley wrote: “The Moyglare Stud – over an extra furlong which she should relish – is perhaps the best option for another step up in grade for Fair Eva. If she did take that option, there is the potential that she might come up against Aidan O’Brien’s Promise To Be True, a sister to Maybe who won the race herself in 2008. Promise To Be True also scored in Group 3 company last week, winning the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown, and she is now rated 103p (from 93p).
In South Africa, Avontuur’s Stud’s much talked about Frankel filly, Miss Frankel (from Val de Ra), has Fair Eva’s flashy chestnut looks, with the same blaze, but she has two white hind legs as opposed to Fair Eva’s pair of white front socks.
It will be a while before racing fans see Miss Frankel, who turns two on 1 August, in action. “She hasn’t even been broken yet,” said Drier. “She’s coming straight off Avontuur Farm and will only debut next year. I’ve been to see her a couple of times and she’s lovely, very correct.”
