LEADING jokey Aldo Domeyer has been granted a licence to ride in Hong Kong from 1 May 2019 until the end of the current season on 14 July, which gives him only a small window but a foot in the door and a chance to prove himself.

Domeyer, the son on former South African champion jockey Andrew Fortune, secured his first Cape Champion Jockey title with 137 winners last year and was third on the National Log, which earned him a spot in Singapore’s International Jockeys’ Challenge.

Domeyer’s current strike rate sits around an excellent 20 per cent.  He has 980 career winners to his name, along with three Group One wins.
