THE first runners of Ascot Stud’s Bold Silvano have impressed with a number of wins around the country and Ashleigh Parker’s stud have two more nice two-year-olds on offer at the CTS Lanzerac Ready To Run Sale next week.
Lot 14 is Bold Respect, a full-brother to Brett Crawford’s Boldy Respectable, already a two-time winner with feature potential, and Parker noted: “He’s racy, very nice and shouldn’t take long in coming to hand.”
Hot n Hazy (Lot 115) is described as “well-topped and likely to come early. Her dam, Hot Girl, was very fast, and she looks to have inherited that speed.”
Ascot’s neighbour Rennie Price has consigned a single entry from his Wicklow Stud. She’s Lot 88, a bay filly named Clifton Beach, sired by the now deceased Sail From Seattle from the Gr3 winner, Enchanted Kingdom, from the family of Gr1 winner Soft Landing.
“Clifton Beach is a nice size for a first foal, in all a really nice filly and well worth having a look at,” said Price.
Some way up the coast, Stillbay’s Riethuiskraal Stud has a trio of colts on sale, starting with Lot 3, Pera Palace, by Imperial Stride from Perfect Guest. “He’s the best bred of ours, from the older mare Perfect Guest who produced Crimson Palace and a host of other black-type performers,” said the stud’s Kassie Robbertze.
Lot 44, Ataturk, is by Ideal World, the sire of Smart Call and last weekend’s Vaal Heritage winner, Irish Pride, from a mare by Fort Wood. “He’s a strong, muscled horse,” said Robbertze.
Another Ideal World colt Jack Dempsey (Lot 60) is described as a “nice mover”. Robbertze said: “He’s a big horse with scope.”
