A full-brother to champions Rafeef and Mustaqeem will be offered at the forthcoming Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. The colt by Redoute’s Choice from National Colour is unnamed as yet, but is reportedly the talk of the town in Sydney, where the sale starts on 9 April at the new Riverside Stable Complex.

Arrowfield Stud principal John Messara commented: “National Colour was a Champion race mare in South Africa and is now the Champion Broodmare in New South Wales. It was an extraordinary feat for her two sons by Redoute’s Choice to win Group 1 races with Shadwell and Mike de Kock on the same day.

“This colt, similar to his brothers, was a very nice foal from day one and has developed into an athletic yearling. Being a son of sire of sires Redoute’s Choice, I’m sure he’ll find favour for those looking for a colt with potential stallion prospects.’’

Said Jonathan D’Arcy, Inglis General Manager of Bloodstock: “The colt is typical of what the mare can throw. He has plenty of length, a good head and eye and moves beautifully. National Colour is proving to be a true Blue Hen mare with Rafeef and Mustaaqeem both victorious on the racetrack at the highest level. It would be a brave person who would suggest this colt couldn’t follow in their footsteps.”
