A State police escort accompanied US star California Chrome from Palm Beach Airport to Gulfstream Park in Miami, Florida on Friday, completing a journey that started in San Diego, California early on Friday morning.

California Chrome will be prepared at the track for his anticipated rematch with up-and-coming champion Arrogate in the inaugural running of the Gr1 $12 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational on 28 January.
California Chrome, who is in the care of trainer Art Sherman’s son and assistant, Alan Sherman, settled into his stable at the Gulfstream complex.

“He travelled well. He’s drinking and looking for his hay,” Alan Sherman said. “He’s bright-eyed. He looks good.”
