Catch Twentytwo (9-1) caused an upset when he finished strongly under Gavin Lerena to overpower stable mate MK’s Pride and win the Grade 2 WSB Dingaans over 1600m at Turffontein. 

The Elusive Fort gelding had finished a decent fourth to undefeated Malmoos in the Graham Beck last time, and did find some longshot betting support.  

The odds-on favourite Mount Pleasant came under pressure halfway up the straight and faded out to finish unplaced. 

But readers of Turf Talk’s Paul Peter feature on Monday had been warned.  

“And don’t ignore Catch Twenttwo. He got into trouble in the Graham Beck but was finishing the race off very strongly,” were Peter’s words
