Callan Murray made a dream start to his new job with Brett Crawford, bringing home tote favourite Quick Breeze in the opening Maiden over 1200m at Kenilworth.

The Querari filly was the sole juvenile in the race, but made short work of her rivals. After racing a few lengths off the pace set by fellow Drakenstein owned Glitter In The Air, she quickened up smartly down the inside rail, and won going away by two and a quarter.

“Callan will be a massive asset to the yard,” said Brett Crawford afterwards.
