TOP class four-year-old African Night Sky, winner of the Cape Winter Series, will be galloped in public at Kenilworth on Saturday, 16 December.

African Night Sky has been entered for the Gr1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate on 6 January and trainer Justin Snaith said on Thursday:  “We had a plan mapped out for him that included the Jet Master Stakes on 16 December, but on 7 November the race was taken away which left us in No Man’s Land, so we decided to give him a public gallop on the day he was supposed to have his prep run for the Queen’s Plate.”

African Night Sky is doing very well.  The son of Dynasty re-appeared on the racetrack in a powerful Pinnacle Stakes over 1400m on 11 November and caught the eye staying on steadily for a close fifth to Edict Of Nantes.

“He’s flying, he will be ready for the Queen’s Plate,” Snaith commented.

African Night Sky is at 10-1 for the Queen’s Plate, for which Legal Eagle and Edict Of Nantes have opened 5-2 joint favourites.
