WE’re not sure whether Cape Town still qualifies as an African city – it’s so clean and beautiful and everything works – but geographically it is still situated on the bottom end of the continent. So, we can’t argue.

This lovely photo from the Snaith Racing Twitter Account (@snaithracing) would have been taken under the African sky near Cape Town yesterday morning and it features top three-year-old African Night Sky taking a delightful roll in the beach sand – enjoying some time off after this clean sweep of the recent Highlands Stud Winter Series.

African Night Sky, owned by Fred Crabbia, became the first horse since Pocket Power (2006) to win all three legs of the Winter Series and he is being aimed at the 2018 Sun Met, a race the illustrious Pocket Power made his own between 2007 and 2009.
