A large proportion of New York bettors kept the tickets as a souvenir of the historic day. More than a year later, reports have it that over 60,000 AP tickets remain uncashed. And these are bets taken on-course only.

Casino.org reports that there is a good market for American Pharaoh tickets on E-bay, the going rate fluctuating between $20 and $24, well above face value representing a 550 percent increase in value.

One enterprising eBay user is selling winning tickets on American Pharaoh from the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont StakesĀ as a package for $300.
